"I discovered ChiRunning, and my running life was reborn".

I’ve always had an on-again, off-again love affair with running. I loved it; it didn’t love me. I loved the endorphin release – even if the run itself, was always hard work. I didn’t love the daily aches and pains. The athletic injuries in high school and college, and a car accident in my 20s didn’t help matters any. Shin splints, back pain, and years later knee pain made running more trouble than it was worth. After years of starting and stopping for injuries and pain, I abandoned it altogether about eight years ago.

But last September while doing an Internet search on another topic, I discovered ChiRunning, and my running life was reborn. I bought the book, then the DVD, then wanted personal instruction to be sure my form was on target. The closest class was Baltimore, MD. I booked a flight, a hotel, a car and was on my way in December. On the way back to the airport after the class, I knew then I would become a ChiRunning and ChiWalking instructor and bring these amazing techniques back to Ohio to people like me who stopped running because of pain, to people who never started because running was “too hard,” and to experienced runners who wanted to go faster and run into old age.  I wanted to bring back ChiWalking for those who want to build health and fitness through walking, whether in races, around the block, or to and from their car at the grocery.

ChiRunning has truly changed my running life. I am running for the first time without pain and with so little effort I have to force myself to stop so I don’t do more than my body is ready for.

Because of past injuries, I am very susceptible to injury so proper form is crucial to my pain-free running. And I’ll be watching your form as carefully.

While I became an instructor for running, ChiWalking has been a pleasant surprise. I really never liked to walk for fitness because when I lengthened my stride, my legs would tire quickly. On the other hand, if I shortened my stride, I couldn’t walk fast enough to satisfy me. But with ChiWalking my legs don’t tire, and I’m walking faster than I ever have before.

I am so excited to bring ChiRunning and ChiWalking to Ohio. Let me help you learn to run or walk faster, farther, with greater ease and balance than you’ve ever known before.
